This is my second retreat at St. Mark's in Venice Beach. We will be writing a contemporary icon of the Theotokos titled "Our Lady, Wider than the Cosmos". This is a reference to the idea that she carried Someone greater than the Universe within her body - the One who cannot be contained. This will be a wonderful opportunity to reflect on Mary's unique experience but also see how we are invited into this vastness. We too carry that spark of the Divine within. May we see this evermore...
