One Week Retreat

Sessions begin Friday evening

and conclude the following Thursday morning

 

Friends, join me for a meditative week of icon painting in the serene setting of the St. Gertrude Monastery! The group will be led through the step-by-step process of creating one of the most ancient icons of the Theotokos, the Salus Populi Romani, which translates as "Help of the (Roman) People". Prayers, discussion and live music will enrich the experience and help students connect deeply with the saint, with God and with themselves.

 

Cost for this retreat is: 

$845 for a Single Room

Tuition includes:

• 5+ days of instruction in the practice of iconography

• All supplies for painting provided

• 6 nights lodging at the beautiful Spirit Center 

• 3 meals/day, shared with the community of sisters

• Morning coffee/tea/hot water

• Access to a private kitchen

• Access to beautiful walking trails

• Optional daily hours with the sisters

• The monastery can assist with some transportation from nearby regional airports and the local bus stop (click here for details on travel).
