Workshop Details​​

2 sessions conducted live on Zoom (10 hours of instruction).

Step-by-step instruction will guide exercises and the process of practicing.

Each session is recorded and made available immediately after class.

Access to recordings, progression photos and other resources are housed on Google Classroom and will never expire.​

First-time students have the option to purchase an Introductory Kit for $12 +shipping.

SPECIAL NOTE: Students will need to acquire their own supplies, including a work surface prior to the start of the workshop. I recommend having both products below on hand:

Claybord panels or equivalent

Inexpensive gesso boards, great for practice.

Practice the Folds on the Transfiguration Icon!

If you've written an icon you've probably discovered how challenging it can be to paint convincing folds and robe highlights. It takes a lot of observation and practice. And sadly in a workshop or retreat we often don't have much time for practice. Thus the second round of this course!
During this 2-day workshop we will practice the beautiful robes found on the Transfiguration Icon (offered the following week, details here). We will focus on the membrane method where an underpainting is utilized.

THIS WORKSHOP IS OPEN TO EVERYONE!!! NO need to be registered for the Transfiguration Icon Writing Retreat. But practicing these beautiful robes will help those who are.
