Workshop Details​​

6 sessions conducted live on Zoom (35+ hours of instruction).

Step-by-step instruction will guide every part of the icon writing process.

Daily morning prayer, curated for this icon, will enrich the spiritual experience.

Supply package will be mailed 1-2 weeks in advance of the retreat via USPS Priority Mail.

Supply package includes an 9x12" gessoed wooden panel, gold leaf & instructional packet.

Each session is recorded and made available immediately after class.

Theophanes the Greek’s Transfiguration icon is a breathtaking meditation on divine light and spiritual transformation. Christ stands radiant in white at the center, surrounded by a mandorla of brilliant blue and gold — a visual burst of glory that draws the eye and stirs the soul. Below, the disciples tumble in awe and holy fear, their postures alive with movement, capturing the overwhelming presence of the divine breaking into the world. Writing this icon invites us to enter the mystery of the mountaintop — to witness the revelation of Christ’s divine nature and to reflect on the moments in our own lives when light breaks through, illuminating the path of transformation and grace.
